How DublinRoofing.ie Works & How We're Funded
We believe in full transparency. Here's exactly how our service works and how we make money — no fine print, no surprises.
What We Do
DublinRoofing.ie is a free quote comparison service for Dublin homeowners. When you submit a roofing request through our site, we forward your details to up to 3 trusted, insured roofing contractors who cover your area and specialise in your type of job.
Those roofers then contact you directly with quotes. You compare them and choose the one you're happiest with — or choose none at all. There's never any obligation.
How We Make Money
Our service is completely free for homeowners. We're funded by the roofing contractors who receive leads through our platform. Contractors pay a fee to receive qualified enquiries from homeowners in their area.
This is how most quote comparison services work (think MyBuilder, Bark, Rated People). The key difference is that our cost guides and content are genuinely independent — we don't recommend one roofer over another, and we don't take a commission on any work carried out.
What This Means for You
- You never pay us anything. Not now, not later.
- Your details are only shared with roofers who are relevant to your job and area — never sold in bulk or shared with third parties for marketing.
- You're never locked in. If you don't like any of the quotes, walk away. No penalty, no follow-up pressure from us.
- Our guides are independent. When we say a new roof costs €9K–€16K, that's based on market data — not an attempt to steer you towards a particular contractor.
About Our Contractors
We aim to work with roofing contractors who meet the following standards:
- Public liability insurance (minimum €1.3m cover)
- Established business with verifiable track record
- Positive online reviews (Google, TrustATrader, etc.)
- Responsive to customer enquiries within 24 hours
However, we're a referral service — not an employer or agent of the contractors. Any agreement you reach with a roofer is between you and them. We always recommend getting everything in writing and checking insurance certificates yourself before work begins.
Affiliate Links
Some of our guides may contain affiliate links to roofing products or suppliers. If you purchase through these links, we may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. Affiliate links are always clearly marked and never influence our editorial recommendations.
